Welcome to St. Stephen's
We are happy that you’re here. St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church is located at 500 Ogden Ave. in Escanaba, MI. We are using our website now for cultural events we are offering at our church, our basic worship schedule and you can also download our newsletters here to find out more about us.
St. Stephen's to Host Classical Music Recital
On Sunday Oct. 12th at 5pm, St. Stephen’s will sponsor retired classical pianist Leonore Hall, who will perform a short recital for us featuring music of Haydn, Beethoven, Debussy and Ginastera. Free for the public with a reception following the concert.
“Lani” is currently the music director at St. Stephen’s. After obtaining a performance degree in piano from University of Cincinnati, when she was younger, she had a career as a pianist at the Bavarian State Opera, the Munich Conservatory and for many years as a solo recording pianist with the Munich Symphony Orchestra. After that, she ran a piano studio in California.
Her involvement in music has been diverse and her playing has been heard hundreds of times on WNYC, Radio Bremen, KUSC, Bavarian Radio, LTE Dublin and BBC London among many others.
This will be her first solo recital after over 20 years. She hopes to open a music studio for the public at St. Stephen’s in Escanaba this winter so all can enjoy the gifts of what classical music has to offer. More details will be posted soon.
